Areas covered by such materials may weather, fade, or age differently than exposed areas due to variations in ultraviolet (UV) exposure, environmental conditions, maintenance practices, and vehicle usage. Any resulting color differences, gloss differences, shadows, outlines, or appearance changes are considered normal environmental aging and are not manufacturing defects.
The application or removal of third-party graphics, decals, printed films, protective films, coatings, or other surface treatments may alter the appearance of the vinyl wrap and void warranty coverage for the affected area.
• Horizontal Surfaces & Color Fading Any film degradation, discoloration, or fading on horizontal surfaces (hoods, roofs, trunks, rear decks) due to extended sun exposure or water pooling.
• Improper Maintenance or Cleaning
Damage, discoloration, gloss reduction, staining, hazing, coating degradation, edge lifting, adhesive failure, or other defects resulting from the use of non-approved cleaning chemicals, acidic or alkaline cleaners, abrasive products, polishing compounds, paint correction procedures, automatic car washes, pressure washing, or other improper maintenance practices.
• Paint Condition
PROFECTION Technology does not warrant the condition, integrity, or adhesion of any vehicle paint, clear coat, primer, or substrate. Vehicle paint systems may deteriorate over time due to age, environmental exposure, prior repairs, oxidation, corrosion, manufacturing variations, or other factors beyond the Company’s control.
Care & Maintenance Requirements
To maintain the appearance, performance, and warranty eligibility of PROFECTION Technology Premium Vinyl Wrap Films, Owners must follow the recommended care and maintenance procedures below:
• Use only pH-neutral automotive wash soaps and cleaning products specifically designed for vinyl wraps or automotive finishes.
• Do not use acidic, alkaline, solvent-based, petroleum-based, or other aggressive cleaning chemicals, as these products may damage the film surface, protective coating, color pigments, or adhesive system.
• Automatic car washes, especially those utilizing brushes, abrasive materials, or harsh cleaning chemicals, are not recommended. Hand washing is strongly encouraged.
• Avoid directing high-pressure water streams at film edges, seams, corners, or wrapped areas, as this may cause premature edge lifting or adhesion failure.
• Wax products may be used only if they are non-abrasive and specifically approved for use on vinyl wrap films. Waxes containing polishing compounds, cleaners, abrasives, or corrective additives are not recommended.
• Do not use polishing compounds, rubbing compounds, paint correction products, machine polishing systems, abrasive pads, clay bars, cutting compounds, or similar surface correction methods on the film.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to fuel spills, solvents, degreasers, tar removers, bug removers, strong detergents, or other chemical contaminants. Such contaminants should be removed promptly using approved cleaning methods.
Failure to follow these care and maintenance requirements may result in premature wear, gloss reduction, discoloration, staining, surface hazing, degradation of the protective coating, adhesive failure, or other cosmetic changes. Such conditions are considered maintenance-related and are not covered under this Limited Warranty.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Company's products must be stored, handled, installed, used, and maintained according to the Company’s instructions. This Limited Warranty is conditioned upon compliance with all such instructions. The Company disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The Company’s obligation under this warranty is the repair or replacement of non-conforming products, or at its option, the return of the product and a refund of the purchase price.
Limitation of Liability
The Company shall not be liable for any special, indirect, incidental, consequential, reliance, statutory, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to lost profits, loss of use, loss of time, inconvenience, loss of business opportunities, damage to goodwill or reputation, or loss of data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. The Company’s liability is limited to the purchase price of the products for which damages are claimed. This Limited Warranty does not cover any labor costs, removal or reinstallation fees, or the cost of any replacement parts or accessories associated with the installation or uninstallation of the vinyl wrap. Owners are solely responsible for these costs.
During Removal
While PROFECTION Technology Vinyl Wrap Films are designed to be removable, the Company does not guarantee that paint, clear coat, primer, or other underlying surfaces will remain unaffected during removal. Older vehicles, vehicles with aged paint systems, previously repaired or repainted surfaces, or vehicles with compromised paint adhesion may be particularly susceptible to paint damage during film removal.
Transferability
The warranty is non-transferable unless the new Owner provides PROFECTION Technology with proof of the original installation date and notifies either the original installer, PROFECTION Technology Headquarters, or an authorized distributor within 30 days of transferring vehicle ownership. The new Owner must use PROFECTION Technology–approved care solutions to keep the warranty valid. The transfer must be completed through PROFECTION Technology’s management website at www.profection.global or by emailing warranty@profection.global. Please note: warranty transfer does not extend or reset the original coverage period — the new Owner remains limited to the remainder of the original term.

Windshield Protection Film Warranties
PROFECTION Technology Windshield Protection Film Warranty Information
Limited Product Warranty
PROFECTION Technology (the “Company”) warrants to the original purchaser (“Owner”) that its Windshield Protection Film (“Product”), when professionally installed on an automotive windshield by a PROFECTION Technology authorized installer, will be free from covered defects in materials and manufacturing for one (1) year from the date of initial installation or 10,000 vehicle miles (approximately 16,000 kilometers) following installation, whichever occurs first (the “Warranty Period”).
The vehicle mileage at the time of installation must be recorded on the original purchase receipt, warranty card, or warranty registration. If the installation mileage cannot be verified, the Company may determine warranty eligibility based on the available installation and vehicle records.
This Limited Warranty applies only to genuine PROFECTION Technology Windshield Protection Film purchased from and installed by an authorized PROFECTION Technology installer in accordance with the Company’s installation, use, and maintenance instructions.
Warranty Coverage
This Limited Warranty covers the following Product defects when determined by the Company to have resulted from a defect in materials or manufacturing:
- Adhesion failure;
- Peeling or premature edge lifting not caused by installation error, improper care, or external damage;
- Bubbling or blistering that remains after the normal curing period;
- Delamination between layers of the Product;
- Cracking of the film material unrelated to physical impact or improper installation;
- Abnormal yellowing; and
- Abnormal or persistent hazing that materially affects optical clarity.
Temporary moisture pockets, installation marks, slight haze, or minor visual irregularities that occur during the normal curing process are not considered manufacturing defects. Curing time may vary depending on temperature, humidity, windshield design, installation conditions, and environmental exposure.
Limited Remedy
If the Company confirms that the Product contains a covered manufacturing defect during the Warranty Period, the Company will provide replacement PROFECTION Technology film material for the affected windshield area.
Replacement film material is the Owner’s sole and exclusive remedy under this Limited Warranty, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. The Company’s responsibility is limited solely to supplying the quantity of replacement film material reasonably required for the approved warranty claim.
This Limited Warranty does not cover or reimburse:
- Inspection or diagnostic charges imposed by an installer;
- Removal or disposal of the existing film;
- Preparation or cleaning of the windshield;
- Installation or reinstallation labor;
- Fees charged by an authorized installer, dealer, or distributor;
- Vehicle transportation, towing, shipping, storage, or loss-of-use expenses;
- Windshield repair or replacement;
- Camera, sensor, head-up display, or advanced driver-assistance system calibration;
- Detailing services, replacement parts, accessories, taxes, duties, or other related costs.
Authorized installers are independent businesses and may establish their own labor rates, service charges, or additional warranties. Unless separately agreed to in writing by the installer, all removal, preparation, and installation charges remain the sole responsibility of the Owner.
Any replacement Product will be covered only for the remaining portion of the original Warranty Period or until the vehicle reaches the original 10,000-mile limit, whichever occurs first. Supplying replacement film material does not restart, renew, or extend the original Warranty Period.
Important Windshield Protection Notice
PROFECTION Technology Windshield Protection Film is designed to serve as a sacrificial protective layer that may help reduce damage from ordinary road debris and environmental exposure.
The Product is not impact-proof, unbreakable, bullet-resistant, or guaranteed to prevent all windshield damage. The Company does not warrant or guarantee that the Product will prevent every rock chip, crack, pit, scratch, puncture, or windshield failure.
The Product itself may become scratched, marked, punctured, dented, worn, or otherwise damaged while absorbing an impact. Damage resulting from rock chips, road debris, windshield wipers, physical impact, or normal use is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not covered under this Limited Warranty.
The Company does not warrant the windshield glass, factory coatings, aftermarket glass, sensors, cameras, antennas, head-up display systems, advanced driver-assistance systems, or any other vehicle component.
Exclusions
This Limited Warranty does not cover defects, damage, appearance changes, or Product failure caused by or resulting from:

- Windshield wipers, worn or contaminated wiper blades, dry wiping, automatic wipers, ice scrapers, snow brushes, squeegees, abrasive tools, or improper cleaning equipment;
- Improper storage, handling, installation, removal, maintenance, cleaning, or repair;
- Installation by a person or business that is not a PROFECTION Technology authorized installer;
- Installation over cracked, chipped, pitted, scratched, repaired, coated, contaminated, defective, aftermarket, or otherwise unsuitable glass;
- Installation tension, overstretching, improper trimming, trapped contamination, insufficient edge sealing, or other installer workmanship issues;
- Installation of Product that had visible defects at the time of installation;
- Visual distortion, shimmering, rainbowing, ghosting, refraction, or similar visual effects caused by windshield curvature, glass construction, aftermarket glass, polarized eyewear, head-up displays, or vehicle technology;
- Normal aging, gradual loss of hydrophobic performance, surface wear, staining, discoloration, mineral deposits, water spots, environmental contamination, industrial fallout, acid rain, salt, insects, bird droppings, tree sap, or prolonged ultraviolet exposure;

- Use of harsh chemicals, ammonia-based cleaners, solvents, petroleum-based products, abrasive compounds, polishing compounds, waxes, clay bars, caustic cleaners, or other incompatible products;
- Use of non-PROFECTION Technology branded or approved coatings, sealants, cleaning products, or surface treatments where such use causes or contributes to the claimed damage;
- Automatic car washes or pressure washing performed too close to the Product or directed at its edges;
- Failure to follow the Company’s care and maintenance instructions;
- Removal, alteration, repair, or replacement of the Product without prior authorization from the Company;
- Use in racing, commercial, off-road, aviation, marine, architectural, military, or other non-standard automotive applications;
- Use or installation that violates applicable laws, regulations, inspection requirements, or vehicle safety standards;
- Pre-existing windshield damage, glass defects, or surface contamination; or
- Intentional damage, misuse, abuse, negligence, unreasonable use, or failure to take reasonable care of the Product.
Optical Clarity and Yellowing Protection
PROFECTION Technology Windshield Protection Film is designed to maintain optical clarity and resist abnormal yellowing under normal automotive use.
Abnormal yellowing or persistent haze caused by a manufacturing defect is covered during the Warranty Period, provided that the Product has been installed, used, cleaned, and maintained according to the Company’s instructions.
The following conditions are not covered:
- Yellowing, haze, or discoloration caused by improper cleaning or maintenance;
- Exposure to harsh chemicals, solvents, abrasive cleaners, or incompatible coatings;
- Staining caused by mineral deposits, water spots, tree sap, bird droppings, insects, industrial fallout, salt, or other external contaminants;
- Visual changes caused by normal wear, prolonged ultraviolet exposure, extreme environmental conditions, or normal aging;
- Temporary haze, moisture pockets, or installation marks occurring during the curing process;
- Optical effects caused by the windshield, aftermarket glass, glass curvature, head-up displays, polarized eyewear, sensors, cameras, or other vehicle technology.
Maintenance & Care Instructions
To maintain the appearance, performance, and warranty eligibility of the Product, the Owner must follow these care and maintenance requirements:
- Do not wash the vehicle for at least 48 hours after installation.
- Replace worn, damaged, or contaminated windshield wiper blades at the time of installation. New, high-quality silicone wiper blades are recommended.
- Keep the windshield and wiper blades clean to reduce scratching and premature surface wear.
- Never operate windshield wipers on a dry, dirty, frozen, or heavily contaminated surface. Use sufficient windshield washer fluid before operating the wipers.
- Hand wash the vehicle using clean water, pH-neutral automotive soap, a soft microfiber mitt, and a clean microfiber drying towel.
- When using a pressure washer, keep the nozzle at least 36 inches (approximately one meter) away from the Product and do not spray directly at the edges.
- Do not use abrasive pads, brushes, polishing machines, razor blades, metal tools, ice scrapers, hard snow brushes, or other sharp or abrasive equipment on the Product.
- Use an automotive de-icing spray rather than scraping ice directly from the Product.
- Remove insects, bird droppings, tree sap, road film, mineral deposits, and other contaminants promptly.
- Do not allow water or cleaning products to dry naturally on the Product, as mineral deposits may cause permanent water spots.
- Use only cleaning and maintenance products approved for windshield protection film.
- Do not apply third-party coatings, sealants, waxes, or polishing products unless their compatibility has been confirmed by PROFECTION Technology.
- Have any lifting, bubbling, persistent haze, or unusual optical concern inspected promptly by the original authorized installer.
Failure to follow these instructions may reduce Product life and may void warranty coverage for the affected area.
Nothing in these instructions requires the Owner to operate the vehicle in an unsafe manner. The Owner must always prioritize safe visibility and comply with applicable traffic and vehicle safety laws.
Legal Compliance
Automotive windshield film laws, visible light transmission requirements, and vehicle inspection standards vary by country, state, province, and local jurisdiction.
The Owner and installer are responsible for confirming that the Product and its installation comply with all applicable laws, regulations, inspection requirements, and vehicle safety standards.
PROFECTION Technology is not responsible for determining the legality of a specific installation. The Company will not be liable for citations, fines, inspection failures, removal orders, loss of vehicle use, or other expenses resulting from an unlawful or non-compliant installation.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Product must be stored, handled, installed, used, cleaned, and maintained according to the Company’s instructions. This Limited Warranty is conditioned upon compliance with all such instructions.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Where an implied warranty cannot legally be disclaimed, its duration will be limited to the applicable Warranty Period.
This Limited Warranty does not exclude, restrict, or modify any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, restricted, or modified under applicable consumer protection law.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, reliance, statutory, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of use;
- Loss of time or inconvenience;
- Lost profits or business opportunities;
- Vehicle rental, towing, or transportation;
- Windshield repair or replacement;
- Sensor, camera, head-up display, or advanced driver-assistance system calibration;
- Damage to vehicle components; or
- Damage to goodwill or reputation.
The Company’s total responsibility under this Limited Warranty is limited solely to providing replacement film material for a covered manufacturing defect. The value of the replacement film material will not exceed the original purchase price paid for the affected Product.
Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions or limitations of implied warranties, incidental damages, or consequential damages. In those jurisdictions, the applicable exclusion or limitation will apply only to the extent permitted by law.
Transferability
This Limited Warranty may be transferred to a new vehicle owner only if:
- The new Owner provides proof of the original installation date, installation mileage, and purchase;
- The vehicle and Product remain otherwise eligible for warranty coverage;
- PROFECTION Technology, the original installer, or an authorized distributor is notified within 30 days after the transfer of vehicle ownership; and
- The transfer is registered through www.profection.global or by emailing warranty@profection.global.
The transfer does not restart, renew, or extend the original Warranty Period or mileage limit. The new Owner receives only the remaining portion of the original one-year or 10,000-mile coverage, whichever expires first.
Warranty Claim Process
To request service under this Limited Warranty, the Owner must first contact the authorized PROFECTION Technology installer who performed the original installation.
The Owner must provide:
- The completed warranty card or warranty registration;
- The original purchase receipt identifying the Product and installation area;
- The installation date and vehicle mileage recorded at the time of installation;
- The vehicle’s current mileage;
- Clear photographs or videos showing the claimed defect;
- A detailed description of the claimed defect;
- Relevant cleaning and maintenance information;
- The Owner’s name, telephone number, email address, and current address; and
- The vehicle identification number, make, model, and year.
The Company or its authorized representative may inspect, photograph, remove, retain, or test the claimed Product before determining warranty eligibility.
Product removal, replacement, or other warranty-related work performed without prior written authorization from the Company will not be reimbursed.
Submitting a warranty claim does not guarantee coverage. Coverage applies only after the Company determines that the reported condition is a covered manufacturing defect.
If the original installer is unavailable, the Owner may contact PROFECTION Technology for assistance locating another authorized installer. Any inspection, removal, or installation fees charged by that installer remain the responsibility of the Owner.
